Michelle Hu is the powerhouse behind the Instagram community Mama Hu Hears. She blends lived experience and clinical expertise to support hearing parents of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) children and connect with DHH adults around the world. With 15+ years as a pediatric audiologist, Michelle has guided families through diagnosis, amplification, and aural rehabilitation.

Her work especially meaningful because of her personal story. Michelle grew up hard of hearing, was fit with hearing aids at age three, and now thrives as a deaf adult with CIs. This dual perspective allows her to offer professional guidance and genuine reassurance rooted in lived experience.
