Riley DeBacker, AuD, PhD is a Research Investigator at the National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research and an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at Oregon Health & Science University. His research focuses on the impact of medications and genetics on hearing loss and developing AI and machine learning tools to predict and prevent hearing loss. Dr. DeBacker was the 2025 recipient of the AAA Early Career Audiologist award and is the Vice-Chair of the Guidelines and Strategic Documents Committee and a current volunteer for the ARC Planning Committee.
