Erica Friedland, AuD, is Chair and Professor in the Department of Audiology and Assistant Dean of the School of Rehabilitative Sciences at Nova Southeastern University. In these roles, she provides leadership for departmental administration, including the Audiology Clinic, and for academic programs in the School of Rehabilitative Sciences. Dr. Friedland teaches doctoral-level courses, including Pathologies of the Auditory and Vestibular System, Audiology Clinical Grand Rounds, Auditory Electrophysiology, Neuroscience for Audiology, and Pediatric Audiology. Her scholarly interests center on clinical education, with a focus on skills-based evaluation, preceptor development, and characteristics of successful audiology students. Beyond the university, Dr. Friedland contributes to the profession nationally as a member of the Professional Development Council of the American Academy of Audiology and as a program reviewer and site visitor for the Accreditation Commission for Audiology Education (ACAE).
