I am Dr. Joel Marquez, DPT, PT, ATC, LAT, Cert. DN, Cert VCS, TPS, a physical therapist, at Alamo Neurosurgical Institute and a PRN athletic trainer at Christus Santa Rosa Health System. I received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from The University of Texas and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Campbell University. My two interests in the field have always been sports and neuro. The majority of my physical therapy patient population includes patients with persistent or chronic post-concussion symptoms following MVC. This typically comes along with other complications such as neck and back pain which is why I have pursued certificates in vestibular rehabilitation, post concussive rehabilitation, and a specialization pain. I also have roots in and a passion for athletics and sports medicine, so I use my athletic training credentials to keep me involved.
