Dr. Maria Pomponio is an audiologist at Stony Brook Medicine in East Setauket, New York. Dr. Pomponio received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University Maryland and her Doctor of Audiology degree from Towson University. She completed her fourth-year audiology externship at Stony Brook Medicine. Prior to returning “home” to Stony Brook as an audiologist, Dr. Pomponio worked clinically with patients of all ages and across a variety of specialty areas at hospital organizations in both Philadelphia and New York City. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Pomponio is an adjunct assistant professor within The City University of New York (CUNY) doctoral program.
Dr. Pomponio serves as a Member-at-Large on the Academy's Board of Directors and as one of the Directors of Audiology on the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association's Bord of Directors. She is a member of AAA's Jerger Future Leaders of Audiology class of 2022.
