Burgundy Bisson is a third-year Doctor of Audiology student at California State University, Los Angeles. Her research explores how age-related changes in the brain affect speech discrimination across the lifespan using electrophysiologic measures. She is especially interested in understanding how factors like language background and fatigue influence auditory processing. Along with her research, Burgundy is passionate about humanitarian work and community outreach, taking part in hearing screenings and global initiatives to improve access to hearing care. She hopes to build a career that combines clinical practice, research, and education to support equitable, evidence-based hearing healthcare for all.
