Bopanna B. Ballachanda, PhD

Dr. Bopanna Ballachanda is the Past president of AAA. He completed his Ph.D. in auditory neuroscience at the University of Texas at Dallas, was an Assistant Professor at Purdue University, and served as a senior faculty member in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at the University of New Mexico (UNM). At UNM, he transitioned to clinical aspects of audiology by resigning from his tenured position to establish audiology clinics across New Mexico, Arizona, and the Dallas-Fort Worth area, totaling 15 locations. In addition, he has made substantial contributions to the profession through his scholarly output. His extensive body of work also addresses pressing professional issues within the field. He has taught business management courses at Texas Tech University, the University of Texas, and San Jose State University. He has presented in many countries and gained experience with various audiology training programs outside the USA.
