Debbie Baerlocher, AuD, is a passionate pediatric audiologist at St. Luke’s Hearing and Balance. She earned her degree from Central Michigan University and has built a career dedicated to advancing pediatric hearing care In Idaho.
As Lead Coordinator of the Pediatric Team, Debbie oversees 10 audiologists, driving initiatives to improve patient outcomes, ensuring all interventions are grounded in evidence-based practice. Alongside her leadership responsibilities, she maintains a full clinical caseload, providing comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative services for patients from birth through 21 years. Her expertise includes ABR, pediatric hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, and conducting auditory processing evaluations.
Debbie has been a key contributor to Idaho’s EHDI program for two decades. Currently, she leads the Audiology Consulting Team, supporting hospitals across the state. She collaborates closely with the midwife community to expand access to newborn hearing screening. Debbie mentors new audiologists, trains staff, and champions the importance of early detection.
