Dr. Steven E. Spinks, PT, DPT, PhD(c), OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT is an assistant professor at Gannon University and co-founder of AdaptEd, a continuing education company specializing in orthopedic physical therapy. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee and completed an Orthopaedic Residency and Fellowship in Manual Physical Therapy with Upstream Rehabilitation Institute. Board-Certified in Orthopaedics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, Dr. Spinks is pursuing his PhD in Health Sciences with research focused on clinical decision making in students. He has taught vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management nationally through the American Institute of Balance since 2016. A leader within the Florida Physical Therapy Association, he currently serves as Chief Assembly Representative for the West Central District. His academic and scholarly interests center on vestibular and concussion management, orthopedic manual therapy, and the clinical integration of knowledge to practice.
