Patricia Gaffney, AuD, MPH, BC-VA, DFAAA is a professor at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Ft Lauderdale, FL. Her specialty is vestibular diagnostics and treatment. Her interests include fall prevention, vestibular diagnostics, and professional issues such as health policy and public health. At NSU she teaches the vestibular, amplification, and geriatrics courses. In addition, she is a clinical preceptor for first and second year AuD students in the NSU clinic. She teaches adjunct for the vestibular courses for the University of South Dakota. Dr Gaffney has presented at various national and state meetings on various topics including vestibular, amplification, and professional issues. Dr Gaffney also maintains memberships in several organizations and has previously served on the American Academy of Audiology Board of Directors, American Balance Society Board of Directors, president of Audiology Practice Standards Organization, and is the current-past president for the American Academy of Audiology.
