Melissa D. Newell, Au.D., Clinical Assistant Professor, has been a clinical instructor and clinical faculty member in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences department since August 2015. She received her B.A. in Speech and Hearing Sciences in 1994 and an M.A. in Audiology in 1996, both from Indiana University. Her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree was awarded from the University of Florida in 2005. Dr. Newell holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, professional licensure from the State of Indiana, is a First Steps Provider, and a member of the American Academy of Audiology. She is the course instructor for “Vestibular Assessment and Rehabilitation” and manages the vestibular clinic at Purdue.
